Prior to his current role, Chris was the Chief Analytical Officer for Asia Pacific focusing on analytics and investor engagement.

Chris has over two decades of experience at S&P Global in analytical, managerial, and business roles. Prior to that, Chris worked as an equity analyst for 10 years at several financial institutions, including JP Morgan, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and Credit Suisse.

Mark Wang is the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, President and Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Bank (China) Company Limited (“HSBC China”).

Mr Wang joined HSBC in 2005, and has served in a number of leadership positions, driving in particular China-related business in trading and capital markets mainly. In June 2016, he was appointed Head of Global Banking and Markets China at the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited.

In March 2020, Mr Wang assumed the role of Deputy Chairman of the Board of HSBC China. He became President and Chief Executive Officer of HSBC China in June 2020.

Mr Wang is Supervisor of HSBC Jintrust Fund Management Company Limited. He is also a council member of HSBC Philanthropy Foundation.

With over 30 years of experience, Mr Wang is one of the earliest bankers in mainland China dedicated to the international capital markets. Prior to HSBC, Mr Wang held a number of senior management roles for Bank of China and Deutsche Bank, respectively in mainland China, Hong Kong and London.

Mr Wang is a member of the Shanghai Municipal Committee of the 14th Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He represents HSBC as Director of the 6th Standing Council of China Banking Association Foreign Bank Working Committee. He is a member of the 3rd Board of Directors of Asian Financial Cooperation Association, Deputy Director of Shanghai Financial Association and Director of its Specialists Committee of Finance Talents, a member of the Strategic Development Committee of Shenzhen Stock Exchange and a council member of China Finance 40 Forum. Mr Wang is also a management committee member of China Children Development Fund on behalf of HSBC.

Mr Wang was named “Person of the Year for Shanghai International Financial Center Construction” in 2023 Shanghai Financiers award

In addition to that, he wasthe General Coordinator of Negotiations in the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Head of the Gulf Negotiating Team since September 2021 – March 2023. He has more than 24 years of experience. Previously, he was the Governor of the General Authority of Foreign Trade between 2019 until 2022. Prior to that, he held the position of deputy minister for Foreign Trade in the Ministry of Trade and Investment In 2016. He has a diverse leadership experience in the field of trade, investment and the financial sector and has held many leadership positions in the private sector including the position of CEO of a regional capital company in the Kingdom. He is also a former member of a number of boards of directors for government agencies and various local and international committees, including the Saudi Export Development Authority, the General Organization for Small and Medium Enterprises and the Electricity and Cogeneration Regulatory Authority (previously). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He has many investment certificates, leadership, and management courses from universities, institutes and international institutions, including Harvard and London Business School. Dr. Saad A. Alshahrani is a senior Saudi government economist and public sector executive with over 24 years of experience across leading national and international institutions, including the Ministry of Investment, Ministry of Finance, Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), International Monetary Fund (IMF), Gulf Monetary Council, and academia. His expertise spans macroeconomic policy, investment strategy, fiscal policy, institutional transformation, governance, and economic research.

He currently serves as Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs & Investment Studies at the Ministry of Investment, where he established and leads the Ministry’s economic policy, investment analysis, forecasting, and research functions. He previously served concurrently as Deputy Minister for Investment Marketing & Communication, overseeing Saudi Arabia’s investment promotion and international positioning.

Previously, Dr. Alshahrani served as Deputy Minister for Fiscal & Macroeconomic Policies at the Ministry of Finance, where he led fiscal forecasting, macroeconomic policy development, state budget preparation, and engagement with international financial institutions. Before joining the Saudi government, he spent five years at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) providing economic policy advice across multiple regions and departments.

He holds a Ph.D. in Economics, master’s degrees in Applied Economics and Applied Statistics from Washington State University, and has completed more than 40 executive development programs in governance, institutional transformation, risk management, and leadership.

Throughout his career, Dr. Alshahrani has served on numerous national boards and strategic committees, representing Saudi Arabia in international organizations and contributing to major national initiatives related to economic diversification, sustainable development, economic security, fiscal policy, and investment. His research interests include economic diversification, investment policy, fiscal reforms, development economics, and financial markets, with more than 20 publications and contributions to IMF publications.

Alkhattaf is the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Investment Promotion Authority in Saudi Arabia. Mr. Alkhattaf has a long track-record in the investment and financial sectors. He possesses firsthand experience and multi-sectoral knowledge, having managed reserve funds at the Saudi Central Bank, as well as pensions and endowments alongside private wealth

His career includes underwriting projects in South America and Central Asia during his time at the World Bank’s Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA). He has also managed investment banking operations at Nomura International in Saudi Arabia and the GCC. Mr. Alkhattaf has served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at prominent institutions, including the Saudi Stock Exchange and Ma’aden, the Saudi mining company, and most recently held the position of CEO at the largest pharmaceutical company in Saudi Arabia. In addition to his executive roles, Khaled has served as a board member and on various investment and audit committees for several companies across different sectors, including pension asset management, ACWA Power in the energy sector, insurance, and investment banking. He has represented the Saudi government internationally, participating as a member of the GATS Technical and Negotiation Team for the WTO from 1997 to 1999, the G20 Technical Team in 2008, and the Santiago Principles Working Group for Sovereign Wealth Funds in the same year. In terms of education, Mr. Alkhattaf holds a Graduate Certificate in Applied Economics from the American University in Washington, DC (2004), a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Colorado (1996), a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Colorado (1996), and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from King Saud University (1989). He is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Mohammed Al-Rumaih is the Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Exchange. He has over 20 years of extensive experience in capital markets and the broader financial sector, with a professional background in strategic development, operations and project management, and the planning and development of products and services.

Prior to assuming the role of CEO, Al-Rumaih held several key leadership positions across the Saudi Exchange, including Chief of Markets and Chief of Sales and Marketing, where his leadership was central to the implementation of a number of significant market enhancements and innovative financial products. Notable achievements under his tenure include the Saudi Exchange’s inclusion in leading emerging market indices, the successful enhancement of the Nomu-Parallel Market, and facilitating the smooth public listing of Saudi Aramco, the world’s largest IPO, in 2019.

Mr. Mohammed also serves as a Board Member of the Saudi Exchange Company and the Securities Clearing Center Company (Muqassa) and is a member of the Information Technology Committee of the Saudi Exchange Company, the Securities Depository Center Company (Edaa), and the Securities Clearing Center Company (Muqassa). Additionally, he is a member of the Risk Management Committee of the Securities Depository Center Company (Edaa) and the Securities Clearing Center Company (Muqassa). Furthermore, he is a member of the Audit Committee of the Tadawul Advanced Solutions Company (WAMID). He previously served as a member of both the Advisory Committee of the Capital Market Authority (CMA) and the Professional Conduct and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA).

Saleh Al Khabti serves as President of Acwa China, leading strategy, and partnerships across the Chinese market. His work focuses on positioning Acwa as a trusted partner in the region.

Previously, Saleh was Deputy Minister of Investment Transactions at Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Investment, where he designed incentive frameworks and negotiated deals worth billions of US dollars. Earlier roles at Aramco Asia’s China office included Vice President of Business Origination and Vice President of Joint Venture Development, where he structured major downstream transactions.

Saleh holds an MBA with a specialization in marketing from Phoenix, United States, and a bachelor’s in chemical engineering from Xiamen University in China. Fluent in Arabic, English, and Mandarin, he continues to strengthen Acwa’s presence in China.
